Q. What is the Personal Touch system?
A. It is a UV free airbrush method designed to provide a natural golden brown colouring in a fraction of the time normally required using UV light.

Q. How does it tan the skin?
A. The active ingredient in our spray solution is sihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA reacts with the proteins in the top layer of skin to product a tan, and will darken further with repeated applications.

Q. How safe is DHA?
A. DHA has been used safely in cosmetics and food for years. Many sunless tanning products contain this active ingredient, but because of the method of application it often produces an orange tint, especially on hands, feet and elbows. The Personal Touch airbrush method eliminates this effect and gives a beautiful natural bronze colour.

Q. How does a personal spray compare to a machine?
A. Spraying in a machine gives the same coverage to the whole body. Personal Touch spraying allows attention to be paid to particular areas and cover strap lines or bikini marks.

Q. When will I notice results?
A. You will notice darkening within 2 to 3 hours after the session. The colour will continue to darken over the next 24 hours. The bronzer ensures immediate colour.

Q. How long does it last?
A. A good base tan last for 5 to 7 days. Ideally a weekly session will maintain a golden tan. Exfoliating and moisturizing prior to application will veiled the best results.

Q. How long does it take?
A. It normally takes 5 to 8 minutes to apply the solution to the full body. Allow 5 to 10 minutes for the solution to dry before dressing. This ensures that no streaking will occur; alternatively a hair dryer can be used to accelerate the process.

Q. Will I notice immediate results?
A. Depending on your skin type, you may or may not see immediate results. People with fair skin are more likely to see immediate results than those with darker skin or established tans.

Q. How should I prepare for the spray session?
A. Shower, exfoliate, shave and moisturize for best results. Wear loose fitting clothes and not tight underwear. Avoid silk or formal clothes and do not plan an exercise session for 6 hours after spraying. If you prefer, you can use the Personal Touch exfoliant which takes around 4 minutes to spray apply before your tanning application.

Q. What if the spray gets on my clothes?
A. Small amounts of over spray rub off, washing will remove all traces.

Q. When can I shower following the session?
A. All 6 hours for the full colouring effect before showering

Q. What should I wear for spraying?
A. It is your personal choice and depends on which areas you want to have tanned. Most customers choose to be sprayed all over but it is your choice.

Q. Will this tan provide protection from sunburn?
A. NO. This is a totally cosmetic tan and does not provide protection from UV light.

Q. How can I maximize the effect of my Personal Touch tan?
A. Moisturize! Since DHA colours the surface cells, the slower your skin cells turn over and are shed, the longer your tan will last.

Q. Can I use Personal Touch tanning system in conjunction with sun beds?
A. Yes. However if you choose to do this, use the sun bed first, this avoids altering our Personal Touch results through perspiration.

Q. Who can use the Personal Touch tanning system?
A. Anyone. Very fair people who have trouble developing a tan in the sun, pregnant women, people who want to tan immediately, people with hard to tan spots, people who simply want to enhance their existing tan.

Q. Is it expensive?
A. No. It is reasonably priced and far cheaper than other methods. Full body, legs or face sessions are priced differently. There are also packages for regular spraying. The Personal Touch exfoliation is an optional treatment.
